Nov 28, 2022: Christian Post: Wyoming’s largest homeless shelter secures right to hire only Christians, settles lawsuit"
As a Christ-centered organization, if you reject Him, then we just don't see that as a best fit when we're trying to communicate His loving message of care and kindness to the people that we serve," said WRM Executive Director Brad Hopkins, as reported by Wyoming News Now in September.
"We serve everybody regardless of belief or background, personal experience but through the years, our entire history, we hire folks on our staff who share a common faith in Jesus Christ and have the ability to communicate that faith as well."

New director appointed at Kyle Lake Center for Effective Preaching
Professor of religion and director of ministry guidance Dr. Dennis Horton is one of six co-principal investigators for the grant project. Horton said there has been a strong demand among students regarding preaching, and the communication ministry course, which includes preaching, always has a long waitlist. “Part of it is just the subject itself — that our ministry students know that they need to be able to deliver meaningful messages and in a way that will be communicated clearly and will reflect the message from the Bible,” Horton said.

To His disciples Jesus said in John 8:31-32, “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”. Jesus declares that his disciples can know something very special; “the truth.” The key to knowing the truth is “continuing in His word”. According to Jesus, the knowledge of these truths is accompanied by a special blessing. It is what makes men “free.” Of course, the freedom in question is freedom from the burden of sin. But there is so much more that His Word allows us to know the truth about. Heaven is one of those blessings. Consider what the Lord’s Word reveals that we need to know about Heaven. First, Heaven is where we are to lay up treasures. Jesus said, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal” (Matthew 6:19-20 KJV). For most people in the world, the only treasure they are concerned with are those of a physical nature. Jesus assures us that the spiritual blessings play a far greater significance in our lives than the physical ones. --Tony Hoss; Centerview Church of Christ 12/7/23
According to Mathew 28:19, this one Spirit is a member of the Godhead. The Holy Spirit was present when the world was created (Genesis 1:1-2). His presence is eternal; according to (Hebrews 9:14). The writer of Hebrews said, “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” Throughout the Bible the Holy Spirit of God is referred to by many different names. He is known as the “Comforter” in (John 14:26), “the Spirit of truth” in (John 16:13), “the Spirit of grace” in (Hebrews 10:29), and “God” (Acts 5:3-4). He is referred to as the Spirit of Glory in (1 Peter 4:12), the Lord in (2 Corinthians 3:5), the Spirit of Glory in (1 Peter 4:14), and the Eternal Spirit in (Hebrews 9:14). The Holy Spirit is and always been involved in the lives of men. We learn in (Hebrews 3:7-11), that the Holy Spirit continues to speak today. His method of speaking today is through the “Word of God,” the Bible. This Word of God is referred to by Paul as “the sword of the Spirit.” The people of God are commanded to listen to the Spirit as He speaks through the Word (Bible). We recall that in the letters sent to the seven churches in Asia (Revelation 2-3), Christians are given this admonition: “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” -Tony Hoss; Centerview Church of Christ

Cynthia Hotton (born 17 January 1969) is an Argentine politician, former National Deputy and candidate for Vice President. Hotton began her political career with Ricardo López Murphy's party, Recreate for Growth, which merged with Republican Proposal. In March 2009, she launched the Valores para mi país party, formally breaking from the Republican Proposal in August of that same year. Hotton promoted the conservative party as being the emphatic opposition to the legalization of abortion. In May 2010, she was one of the primary opponents to same-sex marriage in Argentina in the Chamber of Deputies, leading demonstrations against the passing of same-sex marriage in July.
May 2, 2023; Sight Magazine: Argentine election: As politicians look to woo evangelicals, experts say their votes may have little impact on results
That is the case of Cynthia Hotton’s 'Más Valores' ('More Values'). A Christian leader of Australian descent, Hotton came to public attention in Argentina as a conservative politician who opposes same-sex marriage and abortion. Her party received only 2.9 per cent of the ballots in 2021 and did not secure a seat in Congress.
'Una Nueva Oportunidad' ('A New Opportunity') is another political party directly associated with evangelicals. It is part of 'Juntos por el Cambio' and is present in several Argentinian provinces.

Demonstrations against abortion bill held in Argentina
In an email to ACI Prensa, former congresswoman Cynthia Hotton said that by this abortion bill "the national government intends to put [the issue] on the agenda to divide society and distract. The president is hiding the failure of the public health system, poverty and the economy behind this initiative." "People are fed up with the lies and the political manipulation of everything: from the pandemic and the land seizures, to the farewell given to Diego Maradona. The outcome is always the same: following the incompetency, the people are the ones who suffer the most. With abortion, the same thing happens. People are tired of the green neckerchief as the panacea to all the problems of women and of society."

Pride is inherently evil, crafty, subtle, and destructive. It is totally against the new wine of grace Jesus brings in where we confess Christ is Lord. (With the proud, self is lord.) Jesus was humble and obedient to the Father and pleased Him in all things. But pride puts self at the center. Pride will use religious works, not to draw people to God, but to itself. Pride will use whatever tools are at hand in their industry–in medicine, government, science, business, education, and more.
When the Spirit works, He reproduces His own character in those He indwells. Prideful people, as we see in Matt. 23:15, will only reproduce demonic copies of themselves in others. They will be antagonistic to the gospel, in which one rests on the grace of God for everything, including one’s self-worth. Their teaching and attitude will beget arrogant monsters and not those who approach the Word with, “Speak, Lord, Your servant is listening.”
Paul gives us the blunt truth to become truly wise in the things of God. “Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise” (1 Cor. 3:18). We can be fooled by our own pride; it is difficult to detect pride in oneself when seeking recognition feels so normal, and spinning something to put self in the best light is instinctual.
Paul’s remedy is to become like the foolish; that is, to be like those around you. What do I mean by that? When we associate with the humble and simple, we’ll see the difference between their plain talk and living, and our prideful ambitions. The contrast, with the illumination of the Spirit, can help us to see it. When we identify with the humble, we are actively putting to death the pride of life. The humble already put God first and will discern the puffery of fools. --Steve Husting; Doubt Busters; The Sin of Spiritual Pride 5.29.23

"This is beyond anything we've ever seen; it's almost like 'serial suicides.....This is not just a psychological issue: this is a spiritual battle with spiritual forces......The thief—speaking of the devil—'comes to steal, kill, and destroy,' and this is the result. You've got 12-year-old girls hanging themselves. You can't imagine a 12-year-old deciding to die; they haven't even lived yet!.........Pine Ridge was the site of the Wounded Knee massacre back at the end of the Indian era........They call them the shadow people or the dark people. There are spirit beings—demonic beings—that are stalking the reservation and convincing young people that they are worth nothing ... and [that have] started this 'cloud of death' over the reservation."
