Revelation 13
Revelation 13:1-2:
Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority |
Countless critics on social media are saying the statue appears to be the likeness of the "beast" the Prophet Daniel wrote about in the Old Testament and the Apostle John wrote about in the Book of Revelation.
Daniel chapter 7:2-4 describes the beast with the body of a lion and wings of an eagle: Daniel spake and said, "I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings." The Apostle John described a beast with similar features in the New Testament passage in Revelation 13:2. SOURC: CBN |
John sees a nightmarish vision of a dragon and a beast. The beast comes out of the sea and receives power from the dragon. The beast is the Antichrist. The dragon is Satan.
The sea is most likely a symbol of the evil encompassing the Gentile nations in general.

Revelation 13:3-4:
3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him? |
The ten horns are the final ten nation confederation ruled by ten kings who give their loyalty to the anti-Christ.
The seven heads represent the seven gentile world kingdoms throughout history beginning with Egypt and ending with the revived Roman Empire ruled by the anti-Christ under the direction of Satan. The sum of the matter is that the whole world will worship the dragon. - Walt Thrun |
Revelation 13:5:
5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.

Revelation 13:6:
And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. |
Our enemy slanders three things: God's person, God's people, and God's place--namely heaven. What better way for the devil and his demons to attack us than to whisper lies about the very place on which God tells us to set our hearts and minds? He doesnt need to tell us it doesnt exist. He only needs to tell us how boring it will be there, or how unappealing it will be. Remember, though, that He is the father of lies. If the devil has been successful in getting that message out to so many people, we must rejoice in knowing that heaven will be the opposite of what the devil says it will be. Honestly, you will not be bored....heaven is your destiny...and you have been made for it. It will fit you, as they say, "like a glove."

Revelation 13:7:
7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.

Revelation 13:8:
All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. |
That little word “from,” the Greek preposition apo, is a word of separation. In this verse, it basically means “from back before.” In other words, before there ever was a universe of two trillion galaxies and two hundred billion trillion stars, before there was even time and space for that universe to exist in, before there was even matter for it to be made of, there was an eternal, self-existent God who was determined to die for fallen man that had not even come into existence to fall yet.
There is a universe of two trillion galaxies because God wanted there to be a Milky Way Galaxy. There is a Milky Way Galaxy because God wanted there to be a particular solar system within that Milky Way Galaxy with a tiny blue planet in it, a speck of dust in the vast expanse of the universe, a place called earth. And there is an earth because God wanted there to be one particular spot on this earth, a spot called Mount Calvary, a place where he, the creator of it all, would die for the most beloved part of his creation, mankind. -Pastor Wagner |
Revelation 13:9-10:
9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear.
10 He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Revelation 13:11–18:
Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived. And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666. |
Biblically.." there’s really nothing that would lead us to conclude that the COVID-19 vaccine is the mark of the beast. Read: Revelation 13:11–18. The mark of the beast is not something that people accidentally take. This is really about idolatry and false worship. The “number of a man” there is a reference to humanity: Man was created on the sixth day, and God rested on the seventh day. Six throughout the Bible is the number of imperfection—the number of man—and if we put our hope in man, we will be condemned." -Adriel Sanchez ;Core Christianity

Smith said he has spent time talking with other pastors about vaccines, including with those who are skeptical about them — talking about the science to some, about the Bible to others.
For some Christians, he said, skepticism has been rooted in ideas from the Book of Revelation about the so-called mark of the beast, found in Revelation 13. “If you look at the Scripture,” he said, “the vaccine cannot be the mark of the beast. It does not fit any of the scriptural references.” -Bob Smietan
