Maryland church teacher who assaulted girls was an illegal twice deported: report
A church teacher in Maryland who was arrested for allegedly assaulting four girls entered the United States illegally after having been deported twice, according to an official with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Ervin Jeovany Alfaro Lopez, 33, of Germantown, was arrested on Monday after an investigation by the Montgomery County Department of Police, Special Victims Investigations Division.

The 18th Biennial Uncommon Height Awards Gala sponsored by the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) on Dec. 8 at the Gaylord National Harbor Resort in Oxon Hill, Maryland, proved to be an event to honor groundbreaking women, such as Bishop Vashti Murphy McKenzie, and empower guests for the future. “This has to be one of the most inspiring and uplifting events that I have ever been to,” said Kaersten Deeds, a 40-year-old resident of Silver Spring, Maryland. “I don’t think I have ever been in a room full of well-dressed people who hold powerful positions and make such an impact on society. Eid al-Adha marks the culmination of the annual Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, while Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the fast of Ramadan.
