Aug 19, 2021: Christianity Daily: Here's How Revival Will Happen, According To Someone Who Actually Witnessed It
For all the talk of an impending revival in these troubled times, Larry Tomczak, cultural analyst and Intercessors for America board member, offered his views on what has to be done if people really want to see one. Tomczak has firsthand knowledge of previous revivals. July 10, 2020: Larry Tomczak: The Tennessean: Tennessee's heartbeat bill creates culture of life and accountability | Opinion

September 15, 2024: Tomczak wrote: Today, leaders, groups and publications (Sojourners ministry, Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church, Southern Baptist Russell Moore, Andy Stanley’s Northpoint church, some contributors to Christianity Today and others) are justifiably being scrutinized for compromise and “woke” leanings. Investigations are exposing those who are supporting LGBTQ and transgender agendas, gender affirmative surgical mutilation, receiving hefty donations from anti-Christ Leftist groups, identifying with those advancing notions of a white supremacist nation and/or Black Lives Matter propaganda. Be alert, informed and extremely discerning with the widespread deception increasing at this time. Jan 5, 2023: In a Charisma Op/ed, Tomczak pushes Donald Trump because "Scores who remain loyal to our former president sympathize with the nonstop pummeling he endures and refuse to conveniently forget his outstanding record of achievements against all odds. Some want him to let go of 2020 "fraudulent election" claims and be more circumspect in his conduct. Scores believe God is neither done with him nor wants to waste the gift of governance He gave him. We're not putting our trust in politicians or particular institutions but praying for influencers in government to stand courageously for righteousness."....and "Time magazine announced their "Person of the Year" for 2022, Ukrainian President Zelensky. He courageously has persevered against Russia's bellicose attempt to capture his country, assassinate him and decapitate their government. Likewise Mr. Trump has persevered against relentless attacks. Countless millions refuse to bail in his hour of need." |
November 19, 2020: Tomczak posted a video. Therein he claims that "...the fact that Dems have stolen the election." Tomczak also claimed that Donald Trump would prevail through "divine intervention."
October 21, 2019: Tomczak wrote: From a biblically-informed perspective, we know there are three basic needs of humankind: 1. Transcendence - reaching beyond physical to spiritual 2. Significance - having a purpose in life
3. Relationship - having human connectivity/friendship. God designed us for meaningful human interaction. He stated in Creation, "It is not good for man to be alone" (Genesis 2:18).

His book Clap Your Hands told of his dramatic conversion and baptism in the Holy Spirit. Today he has moved over to the independent charismatic side but still ministers powerfully to the wider church and culture through both speaking and writing.
As a journalist, I did a story on Larry’s ministry in The Rock, a youth “Jesus paper” that preceded Charisma starting in 1975. Larry and I have kept in touch over the years and are still close friends. We’ve helped each other walk through ups and downs of life neither of us could have imagined back then. Those were unsettling times, yet neither of us could have predicted the unprecedented social changes in America, where the culture calls right what the Bible calls wrong and calls wrong what the Bible says is good and pure.
Today, Larry has become one of the best social commentators I know. If you don’t subscribe to his weekly blog “Here’s the Deal” here’s your opportunity to do so. Plus he’s come out with a new resource for churches and individuals called Bullseye, which he describes below. This is a movement with timely resources for parents, pastors, educators, youth leaders etc.—a simple 30-day plan! It includes compelling videos, an innovative approach that’s helpful with youth! In a few days Larry and his lovely wife, Doris, will celebrate 40 years of marriage. Here he tells why they will spend the day with other leaders praying for America! This is a critical time because our nation is at a tipping point with elections coming up and the need to appoint a new Supreme Court justice.
