Are Double Standards in the Church Turning People Away? John Bevere and his son Arden recently discussed the damaging effects of hypocrisy in the church and the dangers posed by false teachers and prophets on “The John Bevere Podcast.” Bevere opens the discussion by questioning the markers of true belief, challenging the idea that external appearances, such as worship music or Christian merchandise, define a person’s faith. “How do you know if they’re true or false?” he asks. “Is it because they listen to worship music? Is it because they wear Christian t-shirts? Is it because their dad’s a pastor?” For Bevere, the real danger lies in how some people, particularly church leaders, misrepresent the Christian faith. “This is why 30 million people have walked away from the faith,” Bevere says, pointing to the issue of silence and selective teaching. “It’s not what we’ve been saying—it’s what we’ve not been saying.” (Charisma 9/26/24) READMORE>>>>> ‘The Very Idea of Womanhood Is Under Attack Right Now’—Lisa Bevere Fights for Females in Her New Book Lisa Bevere, New York Times best-selling author and wife of renowned minister John Bevere, fights for biblical womanhood in her new book “The Fight For Female: Reclaiming Our Divine Identity,” which was released earlier this week.In the book, Bevere argues that the “very idea of womanhood is under attack right now.” “We have culture sexualizing what it means to be a woman, and on many fronts, the church silencing the voice of its daughters,” Bevere told ChurchLeaders, adding that “women act like men and men act like women, and the enemy is bent on the destruction of what it means to be female.” (Charisma 9/26/24) READMORE>>>>> “Bitterness is a root. If roots are nursed—watered, protected, fed, and given attention—they increase in depth and strength. If not dealt with quickly, roots are hard to pull up. The strength of the offense will continue to grow. We are therefore exhorted not to let the sun go down on our wrath. (See Ephesians 4:26.) Now instead of the fruit of righteousness being produced, we will see a harvest of anger, resentment, jealousy, hatred, strife, and discord. Jesus called these evil fruits.”
― John Bevere, Bait Of Satan: Living Free from the Deadly Trap of Offense “Often we judge ourselves by our intentions and everyone else by their actions. It is possible to intend one thing while communicating something totally different. Sometimes our true motives are cleverly hidden even from us.” ― John Bevere, Bait Of Satan: Living Free from the Deadly Trap of Offense “Many are unable to function properly in their calling because of the wounds and hurts that offenses have caused in their lives. They are handicapped and hindered from fulfilling their full potential. Most often it is a fellow believer who has hurt them.” ― John Bevere, The Bait of Satan: Living Free from the Deadly Trap of Offense |
May 9, 2024: Relevant Magazine reported: In her book, Adamant: Finding Truth in A Universe of Hate, Lisa Bevere tells us that we can look for answers and hope in news feeds or people, but we will always be disappointed. Our adamant, unchanging God is the only place we can go and find our longings fulfilled. So why not cut through the noise of our times, and search for hope in the one who does not change?
We got to chat one-on-one with The New York Times best-selling author about her new book and what the word “adamant” truly means. September 25, 2024: John Bevere: “I believe there are literally principalities, and we’re talking about very high-ranking dark spirits,” John Bevere says. “I believe that what’s behind this is one of those princes. I believe it’s a very high-ranking spirit that’s literally causing people’s minds to be completely darkened and alienated from life.”“For so long the women have been fighting the men, the men have been fighting the women, and we both have forgotten that there is a serpent in the shadows who has grown into a dragon. Who is now dividing male and female, Republican, Democrat, Black, white – his whole thing is divide, divide divide,” she says. “Because he knows divided houses cannot stand.” May 19, 2023: John Bevere on his podcast: This story is about how John Bevere led Lisa, his now wife, to God despite her reputation in college. God used John as a divine intervention....During their second date, John invited her for pizza. She said, “John, I can’t eat dairy products. Pizzas are loaded with cheese.” To which he said: “Oh, I forgot to tell you yesterday when I led you to the Lord, that when Jesus died on the cross, He not only bore your sins. But He bore all your sicknesses and diseases. And by His stripes, you were healed. All we have to do is bless and sanctify this food, and you can enjoy it.” Lisa has been eating dairy ever since! ED NOTE: Don't try this at home. Be discerning. |
We must heed the warning of the Lord: "Thus says the Lord of hosts: "Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you worthless; they speak a vision of their own heart, not from the mouth of the Lord" Jer 23:16. God warns that these words can be spoken from the prophet's heart, not by the mouth of the Lord. When this happens, the spoken word has the power to cause its hearer to become worthless. We must not forget that words have power to heal or destroy (Prov 18:21). Gods Word has the power to transform us to fulfill His purpose, while man's word has the power to destroy this purpose. This Hebrew word for "worthless" is "habal." It is a root word that means "to be vain in act, word, or expectation." The New American Standard reads "They are leading you into futility" (Jer 23:16, NSA). Other words that describe this Hebrew word are "useless" or "fruitless." -John Bevere; Thus Saith The Lord ; 1999
“A pure heart is like pure gold—soft, tender, and pliable. Hebrews 3:13 states that hearts are hardened through the deceitfulness of sin! If we do not deal with an offense, it will produce more fruit of sin, such as bitterness, anger, and resentment. This added substance hardens our hearts just as alloys harden gold. This reduces or removes tenderness, creating a loss of sensitivity. We are hindered in our ability to hear God’s voice. Our accuracy to see is darkened. This is a perfect setting for deception.” ― John Bevere, The Bait of Satan: Living Free from the Deadly Trap of Offense
