Jan 13, 2023: Religion Dispatches: ‘EXPORTING GARBAGE TO THE NATIONS’: CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIAN RIFTS SPREADING LIKE CRACKED GLASS
In one podcast, longtime Christian Reconstructionist think tanker Gary DeMar chided NAR leader Michael Brown’s view of Christian involvement in politics, stating that being a Christian is more than just “preaching the gospel.” DeMar also recently criticized Joseph Mattera for confusing the “dominion mandate” with the “domination of Christians.” Dec 10, 2015: Kuyperian Commentary: Interview with Gary DeMar on his latest work: “A Beginner’s Guide to Interpreting Prophecy”

Speaking before the United Methodist Women’s Assembly, Hillary Clinton naturally appealed to the Bible to support her expansive view of the State.
RELIGION ON THE RECORD: Apr 23, 2014: Salon author Adam Hamilton recently posted an article titled: "Stop twisting the Bible: There is no message against same-sex marriage." The well schooled Bible scholar knows better. Hamilton's basic premise is not a new one to Christian circles. Although he offers some thoughts to consider, what he ends up with is saying that the Biblical verses that are generally referred to in the Bible as being against same sex marriage are outdated, and were addressing another time. Granted they were initially, but the suggestion implies that God changes with the times and though it might have been bad back then, God says its OK now.Or, when Hamilton addresses the new testament passages, he suggests they were referring to some form of pagan ritual, instead of same-sex sexual relationships.
Gary Demar addresses Hamilton's article in American Vision (" Stop Twisting the Bible … to Make it Fit Same-Sex Marriage" Demar quotes Michael Brown who wrote, “As I note in my book [Can You Be Gay and Christian?: Responding With Love and Truth to Questions About Homosexuality], there are ‘no new textual, archaeological, sociological, anthropological, or philological discoveries [that] have been made in the last fifty years that would cause us to read any of these biblical texts differently.’” Comments can be made here: God Never Changes. Neither Does His Position on Same Sex Marriage |
July 3, 2012: Demar appeared on the Victoria Jackson Show and said: “One of the reasons most people oppose homosexuality is that they understand that homosexuality is biologically impossible. If everybody were engaged in homosexual behavior in 100 years the human race would go out of existence. It’s irrational, immoral, unnatural, all the things that in any other field we would say if a person acted in that way we would say that that particular type of behavior is something we should not be engaged in.”
April 30, 2014: Gary Demar, on American Vision website, wrote: "Liberals love the Bible when they can turn it into theological Silly Putty. They can find support for every leftist doctrine as long as they skip words, read verses out of context, and read their own views into specific texts. Even the Devil quoted the Bible (Matt. 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13), so we shouldn’t be surprised if we encounter politicians who peddle the Devil’s wares with the Devil’s methods."
Apr 16, 2014: Gary DeMar wrote at the American Vision website that the first of four Blood Moons has appeared in the sky. Millions of Christians have become fascinated with the phenomenon. Books have been written on the subject. Why all the interest and excitement? Because the lunar event is supposedly all about Bible prophecy and the end of the world or the so-called “rapture” of the church that these prophecy prognosticators claim will usher in the Second Coming of Jesus. |
Apr 17, 2014: Gary DeMar: American Vision: Are Psychopaths Just Consistent Atheists?
A recent article declares, “We think of psychopaths as killers, alien, outside society. But, says the scientist who has spent his life studying them, you could have one for a colleague, a friend—or a spouse.

Christians and Culture: The Theonomic Urge
One point on which both advocates of and detractors from Christian Reconstructionism agree is that the movement’s influence is rapidly on the rise. According to theonomist author Gary Demar, this is reflected by the increased demand for Reconstructionist literature and speakers among Christian colleges. Publishers, including Nashville, Tennessee-based Wolgemuth and Hyatt, are increasingly supplying outlets for authors who tend toward theonomic analysis. (Christianity Today 3/21/89) READ MORE>>>>>
