Bailing Out a Sinking Ship with a Teacup

​Trump is bailing out farmers with $12 billion...the same farmers his tariffs devastated financially. Fortune Magazine reports: Trump’s $12 billion farmer bailout is a ‘Band-Aid on a bigger wound’ the American agriculture industry is still reeling from. But, of course, Trump but hasn’t freed the agriculture industry from worries of tight margins and volatile markets. He refuses to publicly acknowledge his tariffs have been very destructive to the economy. As the tariffs still are in place how many bailouts is he going to have to make? AS Fortune reported: Tariffs on farming-related machinery as well as products like seeds and fertilizer sit at 9%, costing U.S. farmers about $33 billion more, according to North Dakota State University’s Agricultural Trade Monitor. That includes a more than 15% tax on tractors and herbicides. He hasn't blamed Biden yet, but tomorrows another day.
